Jesus in my boat, I will smile in the storm….
A song my daughter started singing three months to her wedding day anytime she played on the keyboard.
As if she knew we were all going to be in a great storm.
I want to bless the name of the Lord.
Today, as I look back and sing the song all to myself, telling the Lord that HE is All we have and our fears are removed.
Truly, we are made to be stronger than the enemies by the special grace of God.
Thank You Lord that no one was able to ask us where our God is.
What a story — to hear or read– that a bride slumped during her wedding ceremony
A situation that is best imagined than experienced.
The bride was vibrant from the day before the wedding through all the other ceremonies preceding the joining of the couple before the Lord and the congregation.
No sign of stress or weakness of any sort.
She was happy despite a little snag that the enemy had tried to play out four days to her wedding day.
Glory and honor to our God the Preserver of life.
And it happened
After the vows to each other she passed out there before the priest.
Things seemed to be falling apart yet Jesus was there.
Even when a friend noticed how the bride was doing moments before she slumped ,she did not understand that the bride was in a battle then . My friend only told my other friend seating beside her to look at how ‘her daughter’ was doing. My other friend takes her as her daughter too .
People started saying she was either stressed or she did not eat well enough for the rigours of wedding ceremony.
In all the noise around, I reminded God that I was happy His daughter did the 50 days fasting of the RCCG that was before the wedding. Beside that, she went for the Special Holy Ghost service of March.
Then the grace over these should stand for her in her time of distress
I reminded God of her usual song — her smiling in the storm because the Lord Jesus her Savior was in the boat of her life.
Some people were praying for the move of God.
Some were wondering——–
Yet some were not even in the know of the situation
Our God saved the situation
Our God rose for her and for us.
We, the parents were rebuked for negligence.
What could we have said?
What explanation could we have made?
Jesus our Lord proved HE was and is always in our boat when we allow Him.
Do we even have a choice not to allow Him?
The handwriting of the wicked concerning the bride was annulled.
She lives
She regained her composure and was able to complete the rest of the rites.
This testimony is easy to be read compared to experiencing the event
Jesus in our boat and we were able to smile in our time of stormy wind
Jesus is our Rock and we give Him the grace
